A terrorism case has been registered against incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in connection with protests and vandalism in Rawalpindi.
The case was filed at New Town police station by Sub-Inspector Umar Siddique.
The charges included interference in government operations, rioting, and an attack on a government vehicle with a petrol bomb, along with provisions related to conspiracy to commit vandalism.
The FIR named Imran Khan, Ali Amin Gandapur, and 45 other leaders and activists.
According to the FIR, the accused obstructed public access by burning tires and clothes, creating difficulties for citizens.
It also stated that they engaged in arson and stone-throwing, making it challenging for police personnel to protect themselves.
Police officials reported that five suspects were arrested at the scene, including Khalil, Imran, Sadaqat, Yaseen, and Tahir. A petrol bottle was recovered from the possession of the suspect Tahir.
