Apple’s iPhone 14 design revisions emerged months ago, but performance rumors have proven to be much more divisive. Additionally, a recent leak about their battery life has people talking.
A recent article on Baidu purports to list the battery capacity for every iPhone 14 variant, according to reliable industry insider ShrimpApplePro. The new range’s capacities are being disclosed for the first time, and while three models have received slight battery upgrades, a decrease for the iPhone 14 Pro might indicate that you would be better off spending your money elsewhere.
The leak breaks down the battery capacities as follows:
- iPhone 14 – 3279 mAh (iPhone 13 – 3,227 mAh)
- iPhone 14 Max – 4325 mAh (N/A)
- iPhone 14 Pro – 3200 mAh (iPhone 13 Pro – 3,095 mAh)
- iPhone 14 Pro Max – 4323 mAh (iPhone 3 Pro Max – 4,352 mAh)
If these statistics are accurate, there is a good probability that the new iPhone 14 Max will outlive the flagship iPhone 14 Pro Max. The major news comes from the huge phones.
This is because of what they will be asked to do, not the slight variation in their battery capacities. The 48-megapixel sensors used in the iPhone 14 Pro variants will process files 4 times larger than those processed by the ordinary models’ 12MP sensor. Additionally, it is anticipated that they will have additional RAM, which will improve performance but increase battery usage.
It remains to be seen whether the Pro-only A16 chipset and additional DDR5 RAM will Apple enough to make up for this; however, given that the iPhone 14 Max is anticipated to cost $300 less than the iPhone 14 Pro, it may be a tempting downgrade for those worried about the rumored price increases for the latter. The iPhone 14 Maxi also represents a significant advancement over the iPhone 13 Mini (2,406 mAh), whose battery life was the device’s major flaw.
