250 feeders trip as Lahore receives heavy rain

LAHORE: Many areas of Lahore and Sheikhupura plunged into darkness after heavy rain and strong winds hit the provincial capital and its adjacent areas late on Thursday.

Over 250 feeders of tripped due to heavy downpour and strong winds in Lahore and Sheikhupura as a result Johar Town, Township, New Muslim Town, New Complex, Sahafi colony, Harbanspura, Batapur and other areas plunged into darkness.

Lahore Electric Supply Corporation (LESCO) Spokesman Imran Afzal said over 250 feeders tripped in Lahore and Sheikhupura. He said power supply from 150 feeders have been restored while work on other 100 was underway.
