LAHORE: Former Pakistani cricketer Waqar Younis has wonderful singing skills, it emerged on Wednesday, while match officials at the venue of ongoing Pakistan vs Australia Test marked Pakistan Day.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared a video on Twitter, in which Younis made Pakistan Day celebrations a bit more special by singing the famous national song, ‘Ye Watan Tumhara Hai’.
The video shows cricket presenter Zainab Abbas interacting with Younis and his fellow commentators, all dressed in green at Gaddafi Stadium this morning.
In the video, Zainab says that “Younis has got a great singing voice as he just sang the national anthem.”

She then asks the former cricketer to sing a bit more for the viewers.
At this, Younis starts singing the national song with a giggle. Though Younis crooned just a single line from the song, it was enough to exhibit the amazing singing talent he has.
The entire Pakistan cricket squad, currently participating in the ongoing home Test series against Australia, celebrated Pakistan Day ahead of the resumption of the third Test on day three in Lahore this morning.
