Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that after the stadium upgrade, it has announced to take its revenue in place of the passes received from the ICC.
Addressing a press conference at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi officially said that the opening ceremony will be held at Gaddafi Stadium on February 7.
The opening ceremony of the Champions Trophy will be held on February 16, with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif as the chief guest, while the opening ceremony of the National Stadium Karachi will be held on February 11, where President Asif Ali Zardari is expected to be the chief guest of the ceremony.

The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that all the officials, including the head of the International Cricket Council (ICC), and the officials of the participating teams in the event have been invited.
He said that additional money was spent during the stadium upgrade, which included the addition of LED lights, etc., but to reduce the costs, passes were to be obtained from the ICC, which will be denied and its revenue will be taken.

Mohsin Naqvi said that we have asked for revenue in place of the ICC passes given to the host country.
The Pakistan Cricket Board chief further said that we (i.e.) the PCB does not take any grant from the federal government, this is the board’s own money.

Regarding Saim Ayub, the PCB chairman said that the young opener will feel a little tired and the doctors have advised him to rest for another 4 to 5 weeks.
