In view of the peace talks regarding the Iran-US ceasefire in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, it has been decided to suspend all types of private and public transport until further notice.
Security has been put on high alert in Islamabad in view of the Iran-US talks and extraordinary security arrangements have been completed.
International media representatives have started arriving in Pakistan, Pakistan has started issuing visas to international media, instructions have been issued to Pakistani embassies and high commissions abroad.
According to sources, the distinguished foreign guests will be accommodated in private hotels, while a total of 18,000 personnel will be deployed for security, including 7,000 personnel from Punjab.
Police officers on duty will not be allowed to use mobile phones and all personnel have been instructed to use anti-riot kits.
In the security arrangements, Pakistan Rangers and Frontier Corps will also be deployed along with Islamabad Police, while joint checkpoints will also be established with other law enforcement agencies.
It has been instructed that no official without a service card will be allowed to enter the duty area during the route, while several pickets of security forces have been set up around the hotel.
For the convenience of citizens, traffic police are deployed at various locations and an alternative traffic plan has also been prepared.
Intelligence support is being provided by the Special Branch, while road repair work has also been completed across the city, especially in route areas.

According to the administration, public transport hubs, goods transport, private rent-a-car services will also remain closed until further notice, while markets, streets, Murree Road, Faizabad, commercial markets and other business centers on VVIP routes are also being closed at specific times. Instructions have also been issued to keep wedding halls located on the route closed.
More than 10,000 personnel of Rawalpindi Police are deployed on security duty on the orders of Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani, while more than 600 special pickets are being set up and the city’s entry and exit routes are being strictly monitored.
Elite Force, Dolphin Force and other quick response units are on patrol, while trained snipers and elite commandos have also been deployed at sensitive locations. Search, sweep and intelligence-based operations have been intensified across the city and strict surveillance of suspects is underway.
Security has been tightened around sensitive installations, important government and private places and residences, while 24-hour monitoring is underway through Safe City and CCTV cameras.
A special traffic plan has been formulated to maintain traffic flow and alternative routes are being provided to citizens.
Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani says that all resources are being utilized for foolproof security and protection of lives and property of citizens.
It should be noted that according to the American media, an important meeting was held in the Situation Room of the White House in Washington on the situation in Iran, which was chaired by US President Donald Trump. President Trump spoke to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the Iranians over the phone.
According to reports, the meeting was attended by US Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of War Pat Hegseth, Treasury Secretary Scott Besant and White House Chief of Staff Suzie Wiles.
In addition, US President’s Special Representative Steve Witkoff, CIA Director John Ratcliffe and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Kaine were also present at the meeting.
American media say that during the meeting, President Trump contacted Pakistan’s Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Iranian officials over the phone at least once, in which the current situation and possible developments were discussed.
The meeting also discussed the latest situation in the Strait of Hormuz and the future of the ongoing negotiations with Iran. According to sources, Vice President JD Vance, who led the US delegation in the recent talks in Islamabad, may also lead the upcoming possible talks.
It should be noted that only three days remain before the 15-day period of the US-Iran ceasefire expires. President Trump has earlier expressed hope for a possible agreement this week, but a new date for the talks has not yet been announced.
A senior US official has warned that if there is no breakthrough in the talks, the risk of renewed tension and possibly war may increase in the next few days.
On the other hand, the White House has not yet issued any official statement regarding this important meeting held in the Situation Room.
