Karachi: The ongoing dispute between renowned singer Sanam Marvi and Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi President Ahmed Shah has ended. Both have forgiven each other by clearing up misunderstandings.

A few days ago, Sanam Marvi had sent a notice of Rs 50 million to Ahmed Shah, alleging that she was pushed, used inappropriate language and threatened during a Sindh government program in Sukkur on August 10.

The singer had demanded that he apologize within a week or face legal action.

Ahmed Shah had rejected these allegations and said that he had neither insulted nor made any threats. However, now with the intervention of Provincial Culture Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah and writer Noorul Huda Shah, reconciliation has taken place between the two personalities.

The Culture Minister shared a video on his Facebook page in which Ahmed Shah described Sanam Marvi as his younger sister and daughter, saying that they have a relationship that goes back years and the dispute arose based on a mere misunderstanding.

He admitted that the singer was hurt by the inappropriate behavior of his staff, but now all differences have been resolved.

Sanam Marvi also made a statement in Sindhi and said that according to the traditions of Sindh, she has withdrawn all her allegations. She thanked Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah and Noorul Huda Shah for playing an important role in the reconciliation and said that she is grateful to the people of Sindh.
