LAHORE, Oct 22 (INP): Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that bridging gaps between government officials and general public can help in improving the performance of officials and institutions.
He said this while talking to the Ambassador of Norway to Pakistan who called on him here on Wednesday.
Ch. Sarwar said that communication gap between government officials and masses was one of the major hurdle in development and resolution of problems faced by people.
He said that division of classes would be ended so that government officials could serve without fear of being held accountable over their performance and they would bemade answerable to people about their job.
Speaking on the occasion, the Norwegian Ambassador lauded the incumbent government for its struggle to continue democratic rule in Pakistan and termed democracy as the only guarantee for development, progress and uplifting the living standard of common man.
