LAHORE, 07 NOV (DNA) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of Punjab Assembly left the Assembly building without appearing before the Speaker for confirmation of their resignations, as the PTI members insisted on en-bloc appearance while Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal stick to his stand that the lawmakers are required as per law to appear before him individually so he could verify his/her resignation is voluntary and without any duress.
Talking to newsmen, PTI MPA and Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmoodur Rashid said that Speaker Punjab Amenably should notify the resignation of PTI MPAs, as, he said, they had already tendered their resignation from the house.
He said that the Speaker should had confirmed the resignations of PTI members by allowing them to appear before him collectively.
On the other hand, Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhamamd Iqbal said that as per law PTI MPAs are required to appear before him individually so that he can verify that their resignations are voluntary and without any external pressure. DNA
