The Prime Minister directed the FBR to use modern technology to make the tax system more efficient.
According to Express News, a meeting was held regarding the progress of reforms in FBR under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. The Prime Minister directed that steps should be taken to increase the professional capacity of FBR officers and to utilize it effectively.
The Prime Minister directed to formulate a plan for the reconstruction of Pakistan Revenue Automation Limited (PRAL) and said that the use of modern technology is very important to make the tax system effective in the country.
The Prime Minister directed to make the anti-trafficking system more effective in the country and asked that a taxpayer-friendly environment be provided in the FBR. The Prime Minister also directed the concerned officers to ensure timely completion of all FBR reforms.
