
Law and order meeting
The PM stated that the police should do everything possible to protect people’s lives and property during a separate meeting on the law and order situation in Punjab, which was also attended by the Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, the Chief Secretary of Punjab, the Inspector-General of Punjab Police, and senior police officers. He gave the police the instruction to uphold the protection of people’s lives and property at all costs while carrying out their official responsibilities. The PM gave the assurance that the police would receive enough funding to improve their ability to meet the issues they are currently facing. However, he issued a warning that subpar work and a sluggish demeanor would not be allowed.
Eid preparations
The cleaning effort that will take place during the days leading up to Eid-ul-Adha was also brought up by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
