(Dunya News) – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in his message on Earth Day, said that natural resources of the earth are essential for the survival of human life.
In his statement on World Earth Day, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan is observing the day with full commitment and determination. He added that the day highlights the importance of the earth and reminds humanity of its collective responsibility towards its protection.
He stated that natural resources of the earth ensure the existence and development of human life, while the planet supports the growth of all forms of plant and animal life.

The Prime Minister said that the world is currently facing multiple environmental challenges, including climate change, which are affecting valuable natural resources, weather patterns, and quality of life.
He noted that Pakistan is among the countries most affected by climate change, which further strengthens the resolve to protect natural systems.
Shehbaz Sharif said that extreme weather patterns and unusual climate changes reflect ongoing environmental shifts.
He added that the government of Pakistan is working on protecting natural resources, vegetation, and the environment, while also promoting renewable energy to tackle climate change.
He further emphasized that effective international cooperation and a coordinated global strategy aligned with environmental protection are essential.
