ISLAMABAD : Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Senator Shibli Faraz has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is following a consistent policy to boost national economy and contain the spread of coronavirus outbreak. Talking to a private news channel, the information minister said that Pakistan is a poor country and cannot afford complete lockdown for its serious negative implications on the country’s economy. The minister said the COVID-19 is a global issue, and Prime Minister Imran Khan’s policy of smart lockdown has been acknowledged by the world countries as well.He said the Prime Minister has demonstrated dynamic leadership qualities during the ongoing pandemic. Faraz said that the government will not impose a complete lockdown as it is not the solution to the deadly virus. He said all the decisions have been taken in consensus with all the stakeholders during the meetings in the National Command Operation Center to control the COVID-19.
