The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has reassured Bahria Town residents that their legal rights and investments remain secure, despite ongoing proceedings against the real estate developer.

In a statement issued on Monday, NAB said reports circulating on social media claiming residents could lose their properties were “a deep conspiracy” by certain elements aiming to buy assets at artificially low prices.

The bureau stressed that its legal action is limited to properties owned by Bahria Town itself, and does not affect individual homeowners.

“NAB will leave no stone unturned to protect the rights of Bahria Town residents,” the statement read, urging the community to continue their daily lives without fear.

The accountability body also affirmed that it will continue its legal proceedings without any pressure until “the looted money is returned” in accordance with the court-approved plea bargain process.

NAB is currently auctioning Bahria Town properties linked to the £190 million reference involving PTI founder Imran Khan and others. The auctions are aimed at recovering outstanding amounts as per the settlement agreement.
