ISLAMABAD, Nov 19 (INP): Finance Minister Ishaq Dar rebuffed the PTI chairman Imran Khans allegations that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif gave Rs2.7 billion to Intelligence Bureau (IB) to fail his protest sit-in.
Talking to a private news channel, Ishaq Dar said he was ready to provide details of items purchased as parts of anti-terrorism operations from the money given to IB. I am ready to provide the list of purchased items to Imran Khan, but he will have to promise to keep it confidential, Dar said.
He lashed out at Imran Khan saying that what the PTI chief was preaching to the young generation. He advised Imran Khan to stop staging a strange drama every evening. “There will be an open war if Imran Khan doesn’t refrain from this drama,” he warned. “I am just fed up. I am not going to tolerate anymore. I am cautioning Imran Khan through your show that let’s there be an open war.”
Dar stated that Imran Khan was not behaving like a leader. Imran Khan should undergo blood test to prove his innocence in Sita White case. My cupboard is full of evidence against Imran Khan,” he said, urging him not to cross the limits.
The finance minister denied allegations that he had laundered Nawaz Sharif’s money abroad. “The affidavit Imran Khan talks about was taken on gun point by generals,” he said. He said that Finance Ministry had zero corruption, adding that he was not taking his salary as finance minister.
About PTI’s demand for inclusion of secret agencies in the polls rigging probe, he said that the government will have no objection if the judicial commission forms a joint investigation team itself.
Dar further said that Imran Khan should not act like a street man. “Our doors are still open for talks as sit-ins caused damage to economy,” he added.
