Islamabad – Iran has strongly denounced the recent terrorist attack in Quetta that left 13 civilians dead and 29 others injured.
In a statement, Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam condemned the assault at Shahwani Stadium, calling it an “inhumane and cowardly act” aimed at destabilizing the region.
“This brutal attack reflects the sinister designs of elements who seek to obstruct peace and sustainable development,” the envoy said. He described terrorism as a “shared menace across the region,” fueled by malicious networks operating with international support.
Ambassador Moghadam stressed the need for collective and united global efforts to eradicate terrorism and violent extremism, adding that those behind such atrocities are “enemies of humanity” who spill innocent blood without remorse.
He particularly noted the suffering of the Pakistani people, already battling the aftermath of devastating floods, saying the attack deepens their pain.
The ambassador extended heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Pakistan, offering prayers for the victims and strength for their families.
