Islamabad: Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in his meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif termed the approval of 26th constitutional amendment as historic while the 27th constitutional amendment was also discussed.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto was accompanied by former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and Punjab Governor Sardar Salim Haider while Advisor to Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah and Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq were also present in Model Town.
Talking in the meeting, Bilawal Bhutto said that we will work together for the strengthening of democracy and parliament, the 26th constitutional amendment will be effective to block the way of undemocratic powers.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the credit for the approval of the 26th Amendment goes to all the coalition parties, they have not backed down from public service before and will not back down now. .
It should be noted that a few days ago, the government had approved the 26th constitutional amendment from the National Assembly and the Senate, on which the JUI supported the government, while the opposition parties expressed reservations.
