A five-year-old Australian child who was bit, strangled, and dragged into a pool by a python approximately three times his size has managed to survive.
The 3 m (10 ft) long lizard struck Beau Blake when he was swimming at home, according to his father, who spoke to a nearby radio station.
The youngster was freed from the animal by his father Ben after Beau’s elderly grandfather dragged the pair from the pool while they were still intertwined.
Beau, though, is in excellent spirits and managed to get away with only minor wounds. His father Ben spoke to a radio station on Friday about the incident that occurred the previous day.
Ben stated, “He was actually relatively well once we cleaned off the blood and informed him that he was just not going to die because it wasn’t a hazardous snake.
“He’s an unbelievable trooper,” Ben continued, adding that the family, who are living in the New South Wales coastal town of Byron Bay, would watch the bite wounds for indications of infection.
The dramatic adventure was nonetheless quite “an experience,” he remarked, despite the fortunate escape. I think the python was sort of waiting there for a victim to come along, and Beau was it.
[Beau] was just strolling around the edge [of the pool].Before they reached the bottom, a large black shadow that I had seen emerge from the bush had completely around his leg.
Beau’s 76-year-old grandfather Allan dove into the pool and handed the youngster and snake to Ben without exercising any self-preservation at all.
I’m not a little lad, so I had him out in 15 to 20 seconds, said Ben.
Ben then desperately tried to soothe his father and his kids while holding the python for around ten minutes before releasing it back into the bush.
