ISLAMABAD – The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad on Monday extended the bail of several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders until May 5 in cases related to the November 26 protests.Judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain of the ATC Islamabad heard the pre-arrest bail pleas of several PTI leaders in cases registered over the November 26 protests.
PTI leaders including Shehryar Afridi, Sher Afzal Marwat, Abdul Qayyum Niazi, Rauf Hassan, Mishal Yousafzai, Nadia Khattak, and Falak Naz Chitrali appeared in court. The court also extended the bail of Shoaib Shaheen, Ali Bukhari, Umar Niazi, Timur Jhagra, Ali Zaman, Abdul Latif, and others.During the hearing, PTI leaders Zartaj Gul, Alia Hamza, and Kanwal Shauzab submitted requests for exemption from appearance.
The court remarked that all pending bail applications would be heard together.
