The Pakistan Airlines Pilots’ Association (PALPA) resolved to admit pilots from all national airlines on Thursday. The executive committee of PALPA has determined to provide associate membership to pilots of Pakistani private airlines in the initial phase. This is the first step toward unifying all airline pilots around a common cause, according to a statement made in this regard.
The International Federation of Airline Pilots’ Association (IFALPA) has proposed opening membership to pilots of other airlines in addition to Pakistan International Carriers, hence the decision was made to provide membership to pilots of other domestic airlines (PIA).
With this significant decision, “we look forward to working together to improve Pakistan’s aviation industry and to foster a professional working environment for all,” the statement read.
