MITHI/BADIN: Several areas have been inundated in drought affected Tharparkar demolishing hundreds of houses as rains continue since July 27.
The heavy shower, welcomed by the people, that broke the long drought condition, has also claimed livestock losses as hundreds of cattle died.
The inundated areas include Muslim Siran Colony, Gujrati Colony and other low-lying places. Civil Hospital, Sessions Court, Public Health Engineering Office and Information Office are also inundated.
On the other hand, undrained stagnant water has inundated houses in several villages including Islamkot, Nangarparkar and Diplo.
Low-lying areas in Badin have been inundated as heavy rain is continuing intermittently in the district.
Land routes to 60 villages have been cut off after heavy rain in the coastal areas making life miserable for the citizens.
