Rawalpindi: DGISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has rejected the Afghan Taliban’s accusation of Pakistan’s attack on Afghanistan and said that Pakistan does it openly when it attacks and we do not attack civilians.

He said this while briefing senior journalists.

To a question regarding the attack on Afghanistan, the DG ISPR replied that we openly announce when we attack, we attacked Afghanistan in October and told everyone.

He said that whenever Pakistan attacks, it makes an announcement and never attacks civilians, we are a state, we respond as a state, blood and trade cannot go together, it is not possible that we are attacked and we also trade, we are not against the Afghan people but against terrorism.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that the army and FC are doing border management, we have explained something to everyone in the Doha and Istanbul talks, they sometimes say that 6,000 TTP terrorists will enter Pakistan.

DG ISPR said that those people are teaching their children the wrong lesson, they talk about Greater Pashtunistan, high-ranking officials in the Afghan government are themselves giving statements that we will attack, American weapons have also been used in the terrorist attack in Mianwali, these missiles and weapons have become a threat to the whole world.

He said that these terrorists use American weapons and American bulletproof vehicles, these weapons have become a livelihood for these people, these people buy weapons from drugs, we do not understand any difference between TTP and TTA.

He said that these weapons are in the hands of the Afghan Taliban, we have also shown these weapons to our American partners who had left $7.2 billion worth of weapons in Afghanistan, the terrorism that is happening has turned out to be American weapons 29 times.

DG ISPR said that the war against terrorism has to be won by the army and the people of Pakistan, whatever war there is against terrorism, Pakistan will win.

He said that if you are the government, you should demonstrate like a state, you should not act as a non-state, I have asked the Afghan authorities how long you will call yourself an interim government, I had said in negotiations with the Afghan authorities that the land of Afghanistan will not be used for attacks, but the facts are completely different, 607 security personnel were martyred in these operations.
