The American citizen hunted the Markhor in Chitral by making the biggest bid in history.
According to sources in the wildlife department, the Markhor hunting permit was obtained for US$ 232,000 including tax.
Sources from the wildlife department said that the bid of 2 lakh 32 thousand dollars for Markhor is the biggest in history.
Sources further said that the US citizen had obtained the Markhor hunting permit through bidding in October 2023.
It should be noted that the Markhor is the national animal and even before this there have been bids for Markhor hunting, for which people come from different countries of the world.
Earlier, an American citizen had hunted the Markhor in Chitral by bidding 22.2 million Pakistani rupees, while an amount of 186,000 dollars was paid for hunting the Markhor in Astor.
