Thar Energy Limited’s 330 MW power plant is launched by the PM

THARPARKAR: On Monday, Hubco company’s completed 330 MW power plant for CPEC Block II in the area of Tharparkar was officially opened by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah briefed him in-depth on the CPEC projects at the time.According to the Chief Minister, CPEC will completely transform Pakistan’s economy.

He said that a significant road system, bridges, and an airport were necessary to produce electricity from Thar coal. According to the Chief Minister, the Sindh government invested 750 million dollars in building Thar’s infrastructure.

He added that the federal government gave a sovereign guarantee for the project in 2015 after the work on a coal mine power plant under CPEC began in 2014.

According to the Chief Minister, this power project’s capacity for producing electricity will rise to 2640 MW by the end of the year.In addition, he stated that by 2030, Thar coal will have a phenomenal impact on the nation’s economy.
