ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have arrested six outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered snatched cash, motorbike, narcotics and weapons, a police spokesman said.
He said that, following directions of SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer, SP (Saddar) Farooq Amjad Butter constituted police team under supervision of SDPO Margalla Malik Basheer including SHO Karachi Company police station Sub-Inspector Asif Khan and others. This team ensured high vigilance in the area and succeeded to nab a female accused of dacoit gang involvement in various dacoity incidents identified as Bani Begum. Police team recovered and snatched cash from her.
During the preliminary investigation, she confessed her involvement in various incidents of snatching cash and mobile phones. Case has been registered against them and further investigation is underway.
Further-more, Margalla police arrested a bike lifter namely Anwar-ul-Haq and recovered a stolen motorbike, Sihala police arrested accused Abu Bakar involved in selling oil illegally.
Ramna police arrested Sher Ali and recovered one 30 bore pistol whileShahzad Town police arrested two accused Muhammad Imran and Tufail and recovered 115 gram hashish and one 30 bore pistol from their possession.
Cases against all arrested accused have been registered and further investigation is Underway from them. Islamabad Police also arrested 06 proclaimed offenders from various areas of the city.
DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kausar and SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer have appreciated the police performance and announced commendation certificates and cash prize for the police teams.
