rasheedISLAMABAD:  Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that sit-ins were staged only to block Pakistan’s journey towards progress and democracy. He said that Chinese President’s Pakistan visit was postponed only because of the sit-ins. He said that sit-ins could have continued after Chinese President’s visit. “How can a foreign leader visit Pakistan while certain people in Pakistan were laying siege to PTV building and Parliament House”, said Rashid.

Talking to media today (Sunday) in Islamabad, Pervaiz Rashid said that China is cooperating with Pakistan in the field of energy. He informed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit China next month and sign several development projects.

On the other hand, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that sit-in protesters never wanted to bring any revolution; they only wanted to promote anarchy and chaos. Containers at D-Chowk are adorned by fake degree holders and turncoats, he said.
