LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Siraj ul Haq said that his party would enforce a system of justice and eliminate corruption from the country.
Addressing a large gathering of supporters on the first day of three-day congregation at Minar-e-Pakistan, Haq said that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) should be re-constituted before the next general elections.
“Jamaat-e-Islami was never accused of corruption. I served as provincial minister twice in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but not once I was accused of making a single penny illegally,” he said.
“I am ready to face accountability and I hope that Prime Minister will also present himself for accountability,” he stated.
He also urged the former prime ministers to come forward and face accountability.
The JI chief pledged that every poor would get free medical treatment. “There are two parallel systems in Pakistan. One is for the poor and the other is for the elite.
Meanwhile, The three day Ijtema of the Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan began with the Juma prayer at the historic Badshahi Mosque led by the central leader of the Akhwanul Muslimoon and eminent Syrian scholar Al-Sheikh Sadrud Din Albayuni.
Addressing a mammoth gathering inside and outside the spacious Badshahi Mosque, ,including more than fifty thousand women, Al-Sheikh Sadrud din Albayuni said that the Muslims were not terrorists. Instead they were the saviors of the humanity. Agencies
This was because it was Allah?s Will that this world would exist as long as there were people who pronounced the Name of Allah. And as and when there was no one to pronounce Allah?s name, this world would be wound up. As such, the existence of the Muslim Ummah was a guarantee for the human life on the earth.
He said the leaders of the non-Muslims should understand this vital point and stop their conspiracies against the Muslim world. He stressed upon the leaders of the Muslim world to make the non-Muslims realize this fact.
The Akhwanul Muslimoon leader said that Islam was not a threat for the world peace. On the other hand, the colonial powers who were obstructing the path of Islam were the real threat to humanity and peace. He said that the world was in need of the enforcement of the Shariat e Muhammadi for promotion of love, affection and equality. Al-Sheikh Sadrud Din Albayuni said that Pakistan was a state that came into being in the name of La Ilaha Illallah, and lakhs of the Muslims of the sub continent had sacrificed their lives for this great cause.
The Akhwanul Muslimoon leader said that unfortunately, the Muslims of Palestine, Kashmir, Burma, Bangladesh, Syria, Iraq were being massacred.
He said the Muslim world would have to unite to save the Muslims from tyranny of the infidels. He said it was the responsibility of the Muslims all over the world to raise their voice against the oppression being carried out in different parts of the world and seek Allah?s Help for this great cause. He said if the Muslim Ummah created unity in their ranks and held the rope of Allah firmly, it was Allah?s assurance that He would bless them with strength and His Help. He said there was no room for despair and e despondency because a Muslim could not be disappointed from Allah?s Help. The Ijtema is being attended by delegates from twenty five countries including Sudan, Egypt, Syria, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, Britain, the US, Jordan and Palestine. Prominent leaders of the Islamic movements from different countries were also attending the Moot.
