Islamabad: The Election Commission has registered former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s party “Awam Pakistan Party”.
A notification for the registration of Awam Pakistan Party has been issued. According to the notification, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will be the convener of Awam Pakistan, while Miftah Ismail is the secretary general of Awam Pakistan.
The Election Commission has also recognized the intra-party elections of Awam Pakistan, Awam Pakistan had submitted the details of the intra-party elections on June 26.
The number of political parties registered with the Election Commission has reached 168.
