ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court of Pakistan Tuesday dismissed a second review petition filed by death row prisoner Saulat Mirza against his sentence reported.
Rejecting the petition, Chief Justice of Pakistan Nasirul Mulk read out the verdict, saying the petition is non-maintainable, adding that second review petition could not be filed against the orders of the apex court.
Meanwhile, Sindh High Court (SHC) also turned down a petition filed by Mirza’s sister challenging the anti-terrorism court’s (ATC) decision to hang her brother in Machh jail and seeking his transfer to Karachi.
Mirza is scheduled to be executed on March 19. Agencies
