RAWALPINDI: Aamir Ahmed Ali was the Chairman CDA and Commissioner Islamabad since the new Government came to power. The Ex-Chairman has not only done excellent work for the government with the help of his team and workers, which has increased the good name of the government and provided the best travel facilities to the common people due to which government also gained popularity in a short space of time inside Islamabad. But the government tried several times in its first two months to get its chairman CDA and Commissioner. Perhaps the weakness of the coalition Government where many words/suggestions have to be accepted and then the draw for the new chairman and commissioner of Islamabad came out in the name of Captain Retired Muhammad Usman Younis, who is the new Chairman CDA and Commissioner, gave an indication to the government to bring his team with him, which is still incomplete. The new Chairman CDA held high level meetings and emphasized on the early completion of the mega projects of Islamabad. The Prime Minister of Pakistan has also recently been given a detailed briefing on Baharu Kahu ِInterchange Project as well. In accordance to.our reports the new Chairman has ordered to start rapid cleaning works in all over Islamabad, Development Works in CDA Sectors be completed on priority, Stray Dogs Population. Control Center and vaccination of dogs on urgent basis, Rawal Dam Under Pass Project be completed within its time frame, NADRA Verification Cell inauguration at Citizen Facilitation Cell to facilitate the common person at the earliest, IJP Road Development Work to control the traffic flow furthermore CDA will add 13 new routes to Islamabad’s public transport network. The Red Line Metro Station will run from F-11 to F-8. From PIMS, Route 5 will connect sectors G-8, G-9, G-10 and G-11. In the second phase, the administration will purchase buses for seven additional routes. Route 7 will start from Police Foundation and end at Faiz Ahmed Faiz Red Line Metro Station. While Route 8 will connect Sector D-12 to Orange Line Metro in G-10. Route 9 will span between F-11 and F-8, While Route 10 will extend service coverage to rural areas from Nellore to Khanna Pul. Route 11 will extend to Chongi No. 26 to provide transportation to the residents of Sector B-17. Further, after the completion of IJP Road, CDA will also construct a road from Faizabad to Peer Wadhai. He added that PIMS will act as a hub for the new routes,…This is we think something very encouraging and bold step towards providing a world class drive time to all the citizens within very affordable time and money. These are the few works highlited, which the new Chairman is pressing hard and are very very encouraging. On the other hand challenge for the Authority is the corruption, highlighted by us many times, good step in this regard is taken as some of the Officer from BPS-16 and above have recently been transferred but allot to be done in this aspect. There is certain mafia manipulation, a lot of things especially in Land & Revenue, Roads Directorate, MPO, Building Control Section, and Enforcement Municipal Administration Directorate. They are the real power of corruption, nexus needs to be broken. These directorates should be monitored in secret ways to see what is the procedure due to which Millions of rupees were taken for illegal activities by the corrupt mafia / officials of above mentioned Directorates Money is earned by hook and by croock and its the reason as we all knew everyone tries to come to these seats.Sources have said that the special attention of the Chairman CDA is focused on these directorates. We hope that the new Chairman will continue his work at the same pace, provide more facilities to the residents and adopt the zero tolerance policy on corruption.
