MULTAN: A three-member committee tasked to probe into the Qasim Bagh tragedy that left at least seven people dead visited the crime scene Saturday and collected evidences.

The committee comprising of Secretary for Environment Iqbal Muhammad Chauhan, DIG Telecommunication Amir Malik and Deputy Secretary Shoaib Akbar also recorded the statements of eyewitnesses.

Meanwhile, the residents of Multan took to street against the committee.

The protesters chanting “Go Nawaz Go” slogans are of the view that the probe committee did not even record the statements of the eyewitnesses.

Yesterday, PTI show in Multan had set a worst example of mismanagement as at least seven people were dead and 40 others in a stampede at the public gathering .

PTI attributed the responsibility regarding the stampede in the party’s Multan rally with concomitant deaths, to the city administration. Agencies
