Lahore: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has encouraged the influential and business personalities of Britain to invest in the country and said that the promotion of foreign capital is the first priority of the government.
According to the statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, a delegation of influential and well-known British businessmen led by Zubair Isa met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore. The delegation included leading British businessmen.
Speaking to the British delegation, the Prime Minister said that promotion of foreign investment in the country is the top priority of the government, best facilities are being provided to the business and business community through the one-window operation of the Special Investment Facilitation Council.
He said that due to the efforts of the government, the country’s economy has improved in recent days, which has increased the confidence of investors.
The Prime Minister encouraged the delegation to invest in Pakistan and on this occasion it was discussed to find new avenues of cooperation to further improve business-to-business relations between Pakistan and the UK.
The delegation from Great Britain praised the economic policies of the Prime Minister and expressed confidence in the country’s economy on the path of stability and sustainable development.
