Adviser to Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan said that a well-planned and integrated road infrastructure was imperative to sustainable development while the politics based on hatred, division and abusive rhetoric had always ended in failure.
Addressing a public gathering during inaugurating reconstruction/improvement of a 30-kilometre major road for 12 villages in his constituency on Sunday, he said that past development schemes were often limited in scope, with roads built in fragments of one or two kilometers, which failed to meet broader needs of the population.
He said that the government had now adopted a comprehensive strategy to connect the entire constituency through a well-structured network of roads so that residents of all villages could have equal access to urban centers and basic facilities.
He stressed that development without roads was unimaginable and the government was giving top priority to this sector.
Rana Sanaullah said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had always promoted politics of development and public service. All major infrastructure projects across the country including hospitals, universities, flyovers, underpasses and motorways were initiated during PMLN regime, he added.

Those lacking the spirit of public service resorted to spreading hatred and negativity to cover their shortcomings while the history had proven that such elements ultimately faced public rejection, he added.
Speaking about law & order, he said that the situation in Punjab had improved significantly, with a visible decline in crime rate and enhanced sense of security among the citizens.
He said that incidents of robbery and street crime that once created fear among the public had reduced considerably while the government was striving hard to further strengthen public safety.
Commenting on the global scenario, Rana Sanaullah said that Pakistan was standing at a position of dignity in the international community and it was respected by major world powers.
He urged the public to avoid negative propaganda, adopt a positive mindset and demonstrate unity, saying that national cohesion was vital for steering the country towards progress and prosperi
