Says Khan fails to present poll rigging evidences

ISLAMABAD, Dec 6 (INP): Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid Saturday said that Imran Khan has once again failed to present evidences while recording his statement before election tribunal.

Talking to media at National Press Club in Islamabad, Rashid claimed that Imran Khan was once again exposed about speaking lies during cross examination. He said when newspersons asked him about proofs of rigging, hastly retreated towards his vehicle saying that proofs are in the bags which should be opened.

He said the struggle of the journalists during the dictatorial regimes will be written in golden words. He said the sit ins have defaced the picture of Pakistan.

He said that while political workers and journalists were being lashed and sent to jails in their struggle against martial laws, Imran Khan was running with cricket balls and working as an entertainer. He said it is because of the sacrifices of political workers that Imran Khan was making speeches from the container.

He pointed out that Imran Khan left Pakistan and joined the Kerry Packer circus for money.

He said when opponent lawyers asked Khan as to why PTI didn’t register the rigging complaint during polling, he replied that he had received wound in his head that’s why he forgot everything.

Over the issue of terrorism, the information minister said that there is a need to combat terrorism to ensure peace in the country.

Terming the terrorism the biggest issue of Pakistan, he vowed to root out any kind of militancy from the country. The Minister said the state of Pakistan is fully resolved to eliminate all forms of terrorism from the country.

He pointed out that national security institutions have launched a decisive war against terrorism as is being witnessed in North Waziristan, Khyber Agency, Karachi, Balochistan and other trouble spots.

The Information Minister said no organisation or association is supporting PTI call for shut down.
