ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister has welcomed the current account deficit remaining in surplus for the third consecutive month.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in his statement that the current account deficit remaining in surplus continuously in October, November and December 2024 is proof that the economic policies are in the right direction.
The Prime Minister said that there was a surplus of $1.2 billion in the first six months of the current fiscal year, and efforts are being made to further increase the surplus.
Shehbaz Sharif further said that the positive economic indicators are a reflection of the growing confidence of the business community in the government and its economic policies, and the Udan Pakistan program will further strengthen the country’s economy.
