ISLAMABAD: The former Prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif held important meetings with senior leaders of the party as well as coalition partner Maulana fazlur Rehman on Tuesday.
Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman during meeting with Mian Nawaz Sharif discussed overall political situation in the country as well as NAB cases against Nawaz and his other family members.
The JUI-F chief inquired about the health of Begum Kulsoom from Nawaz. NA-4 Peshawar by-election also came under discussion during the meeting. Both the leaders discussed over the prospect to file a joint candidate against the PTI man.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and former Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan also separately held meetings with Nawaz Sharif at Punjab House and discussed issues relating to Pakistan politics and security.
Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday also chaired an important meeting of the party’s leadership.
The meeting was attended by various Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader including Raja Zafarul Haq, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Barjees Tahir, Talal Chaudhry, Hafiz Hafeez, Sheikh Ansar.
Matter relating to hearing of the accountability court over three references filed against Sharif family by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for having assets beyond their known sources of income, including London flats and Azizia Steel Mills came under discussion.
INP
