Pakistan:China imported more than $41.48 million worth of Pakistani pine nuts during the first seven months of this year, according to official figures from the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC).
According to GACC data, from January to July 2022, China imported 11,513.7 tonnes of pine nuts from around the world, valued at nearly $88.020 million, compared to 3,770.76 tonnes from Pakistan during the same period. Pine nuts have been imported into China for a total of $88.020 million, of which 47.12% came from Pakistan.According to Yar Muhammad Niazi, Chief Executive of Hangzhou Aiza Food and Shaoxing Aiza Trading, Pakistani pine nuts are regarded as high-end treats in the Chinese market and are subject to zero duties when exported to China.
“The cost of Pakistani pine nuts in general is rising on the Chinese market. The season for this year will begin in late September, and we want to sell 1,500 tonnes to China.
