In response to the attacks on Lebanon, Hezbollah is also carrying out airstrikes on Israel, for which it is using modern drones.

According to the International News Agency, the Israeli army has confirmed that Hezbollah carried out attacks with explosive drones near the Lebanese border, in which one soldier was killed and three were injured.

An Israeli army spokesman said that the soldier was identified as 47-year-old Warrant Officer (retd) Alexander Golovanov, who was serving as a driver in the 6924th Battalion of the Transport Center.

The statement further said that Hezbollah launched several explosive drones in the Manara area near the Lebanese border. In one of the drone attacks, Golovanov was killed.

According to military investigations, this Hezbollah drone fell directly into Israeli territory, in which military personnel were targeted.

It should be noted that a US-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon in April did not stop the fighting. This is the fifth Israeli soldier to be killed in southern Lebanon since the ceasefire.

On the other hand, the Israeli army said that three Israeli soldiers were slightly injured in further Hezbollah drone attacks in southern Lebanon on Monday. The injured were taken to hospital, while their families were also informed.

According to the army, an Israeli air force helicopter sent to evacuate the injured personnel was stuck in southern Lebanon due to a technical fault. Later, another helicopter was sent to evacuate the injured.

The Israeli army clarified that the helicopter was not the target of enemy fire, but the fault was technical in nature.
