ISLAMABAD (NNI): The National Assembly Standing Committee on Rules and Procedure and Privileges has taken suo moto notice for off loading MNA Ramesh Kumar and directed the PIA to take strict action against those responsible. The committee also expressed strong resentment over misbehaviour with Senator Rehman Malik.

The committee at its meeting here on Thursday demanded that special counters be established at all airports for arrival and departure of members of the parliament. It also sought a report from Civil Aviation Authority and PIA about action taken in the matter.

The meeting chaired by PML-N MNA Asadur Rehman regretted that unfortunately the government does not take care of its MNAs where the PPP’s prime ministers always took care of their parliamentarians.   He called for fixing bureaucracy so as to ensure respect for the  parliamentarians. He also criticized Punjab governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar.   Later talking to media, Asadur Rehman said that while MQM chief Altaf Hussain talks of making Chaudhry Sarwar Prime Minister of the country but he cannot win an election in his constituency. He alleged that brother of Chaudhry Sarwar sends funds to PTI from London.
