Islamabad: Security preparations in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Attock have reached a peak in anticipation of the PTI's potential long march.




According to sources, additional personnel have begun arriving in all three cities, while shipping containers have been kept on standby along major highways.




Plans are in place to deploy over 22,000 personnel in the federal capital, Islamabad. Security operations in the city will be overseen by 8 DIGs, 10 SSPs, and 40 SPs.




Additionally, 58 DSPs and 246 inspectors will supervise the police force deployed across various sectors and sub-sectors.




Sources indicate that more than 13,000 police personnel are being deployed in the twin city of Rawalpindi, while 30,000 personnel are being stationed in Attock—a key district connecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with Punjab.
