LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday banned the display of banners and flexes on Mall road in Lahore exceeding the standard size. Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi of LHC was hearing Mall Road encroachment case. Additional Director General (DG) Pakistan Horticultural Authority (PHA) Naheed Gul appeared before the court. The judge directed planting on Mall Road restoring the area into its original form. He said that the beauty of historical buildings has been concealed by placing flexes on them. He asked the administration to be conscious of the happenings. The hearing was adjourned till as LHC summoned Chief Executive Lesco, PHA and Deputy Commissioner.INP
