Layyah: Case registered against accused involved in gang rape of school teacher

LAYYAH, Nov 28 (INP) Police have registered a First Information Report (F.I.R) against four accused involved in gang-rape of a school teacher in Layyah District of Punjab province.

Prime accused Siraj Jam and Ghulam Akbar have been arrested while Umar Majhota and another unknown suspect are still at large.

The incident took place six days back when the victim was kidnapped from outside a private school in Kot Sultan village. She was tortured and gang raped. Video of the incident was also recorded on the mobile phone.

Later, the suspects uploaded the video on social media and distributed it among the local people.Police traced two suspects Siraj Jam and Ghulam Akbar through the video.

As the news was aired, District Police Officer Ghazi Salahuddin and DCO Rana Gulzar Ahmed arrived at the police station. The authorities have directed police to arrest other accused and complete investigation of the case at earliest.
