PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administration asserted on Tuesday that the law and order crisis that developed in Swat a few days ago had been successfully resolved as a result of prompt action taken by the law-enforcement agencies under the chief minister’s direct supervision.
After the cabinet meeting, which was presided over by Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, government spokesman Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif told reporters that the group assessed the province’s overall security situation and expressed satisfaction with it.He claimed that the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan ceasefire was still in effect and that no significant terrorist incident had taken place that might have damaged relations between the organisation and the government.
However, the spokesman stated that it was impossible to rule out the possibility of some parties being involved in the terrorism-related occurrences in the province because they were hostile to the TTP’s peace pact.
He stated, “We [the government] assure the people that there is nothing to worry as the provincial administration will uphold its writ in the region at all costs and also no compromise would be made on the independence of the country, safety of the people, and maintenance of peace. He continued by saying that social media rumours about the law and order situation getting worse were completely untrue and made up.
As stated by the chief minister on the floor of the house even during budget session, the cabinet recommended raising the minimum salary to Rs. 26,000 per month for all types of workers working in all government industrial facilities of the province with effect from July 1, 2022.
