Islamabad: The reasons for not convening a meeting of the Judicial Commission regarding the transfers of High Court judges have come to light.
According to sources said that the reasons for Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi not calling a meeting of the Judicial Commission in the matter of the transfer of 5 judges of the Islamabad High Court have come to light.
According to sources, the Chief Justice of Pakistan has replied that with the transfer of judges from the Islamabad High Court to the Sindh High Court, Sindh province will no longer be represented in the Islamabad High Court.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan further said in his response that the transfer of more than half of the judges of the Islamabad High Court will leave vacancies in the High Court and create uncertainty.
According to sources, the Chief Justice of Pakistan has also said that the reasons for the transfers of judges of the Islamabad High Court were not given.
