Multan: Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, has decided to temporarily halt the long march in Multan following a request from the Prime Minister.

Addressing a press conference in Multan, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman stated that he had received a call from the Prime Minister yesterday requesting a postponement of the long march; he had informed the Prime Minister that the people are facing severe hardships. The Prime Minister has said that upon his return to Pakistan, he will meet with them to make decisions aimed at providing relief to the public.
