Islamabad: Arrangements have been further tightened for the security of domestic and foreign diplomats.

Arrangements for the protection of domestic and foreign diplomats and property in Islamabad have been tightened, and surveillance has been started with cameras mounted on police uniforms and Safe City cameras.

Security arrangements in the Red Zone have been tightened further on the instructions of SSP Security Captain (retd) Syed Zeeshan Haider.

Addressing his officers, Zeeshan Haider said that the protection of domestic and foreign diplomats and property is the top priority of Islamabad Police, which is why security has been further strengthened at sensitive locations including the entrance and exit points of the Diplomatic Enclave according to modern requirements.

He said that modern technology is being used to improve the verification process, and the protection of citizens and domestic and foreign property is being ensured.

He said that with the help of body worn cam and safe city cameras, the surveillance system is being made more effective and transparent, officers and soldiers are directly monitoring security matters by being present in the field. Any kind of negligence or carelessness will not be tolerated.

Zeeshan Haider said that security measures of embassies, UN offices and other important installations have been further increased, a close watch is being kept on every person and vehicle coming and going through safe city cameras, full cooperation is being extended to the police in the verification process.

SSP Security said that all security-related resources are being utilized, report any suspicious person or activity immediately on the helpline “Pakaar-15” so that timely action can be taken.
