KARACHI: Sindh Rangers arrested 356 suspects who were forcefully obtaining skins of the sacrificial animals and violating the code of conduct in the city and recovered 18,037 skins from them. Rangers’ spokesperson told that 36 of the suspects were involved in heinous crimes.
According to the spokesperson of Sindh Rangers, the suspects were snatching the skins. 288 of the arrested suspects have been handed to the police while 32 have been released. 36 of the arrested suspects are involved in heinous crimes. Rangers spokesperson told that the organizations found violating the code of conduct included Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Jamaat Islami (JI), Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ), Jamat-ud-Daawa (JUD), Daawat-e-Islami, Sunni Tehreek and Memon community. A detailed report in this regard will soon be sent to the federal and provincial governments.
On the other hand, police raided al-Azam Square to arrest a suspect who was pretending to be police and Rangers’ contractor. 500 skins were recovered from the suspect. According to police officials, the arrested suspect carried no permissions.
