Huge investment: Qatari investors announce visit to Sindh

Karachi: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and Sheikh Ahmed bin Thani, a member of the Qatari royal family, agreed to enhance high-level contacts and significantly increase investment, especially in Sindh’s water and agriculture sectors.

In the meeting held at the Chief Minister’s House, the Chief Minister extended a formal invitation to Sheikh Ahmed bin Thani and highlighted Sindh’s strong economic potential and investor-friendly policies. Sheikh Ahmed, who was accompanied by his aides, showed keen interest in modern technologies related to the agriculture sector and water management. The focus of the meeting was to strengthen bilateral relations and promote future cooperation.

Briefing the delegation on important projects, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that we have prepared major desalination and water distribution projects for Karachi. He added that major agricultural projects are also underway. Large-scale agricultural projects from Thatta to Kashmore can provide substantial profits.

He also highlighted the vast investment potential in the province in the renewable energy, agro-processing, dairy and tourism sectors. The parties agreed to continue high-level contacts and schedule follow-up meetings between their technical teams.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Thani announced that a delegation of Qatari investors would soon visit Sindh to advance negotiations and finalize investment projects.
