KARACHI: Four more suspects involved in the May 13 deadly attack on a bus of Ismailis in Karachi were arrested by the police on Sunday.
Addressing a press conference, AIG Ghulam Qadir Thebo disclosed that the suspects were arrested from Karachi and other parts of rural Sindh.
The arrests were made on the basis of information obtained from the already held suspects. “Special police teams are making all out efforts to arrest the remaining suspects,” Thebo said.
On May 13, gunmen on motorcycles boarded a bus and opened fire on commuters belonging to the Ismaili community in Karachi, killing at least 44 people.
Meanwhile, talking to newsmen in Karachi SSP CID Raja Umar Khattab said that the new arrest were made on tips of information given by already arrested terrorists.
He said that hectic efforts are being made by the police to arrest the remaining five accused who are still absconding. NNI
