ISLAMABAD: Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday called on Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and discussed with him political situation of the country.
Sources said during the meeting also attended by Abdul Ghafoor Haidri, the JUI-F chief particularly discussed the 30th November public meeting by the PTI and said that while Imran Khan was raising hue and cry in Islamabad and Punjab, he and his party have ignored Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where they have a government. He said people of the province are suffering as entire attention of the party is on sit in in Islamabad.
Sources said that Fazl discussed the matters pertaining to ongoing military operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ against militants and the conditions of the IDPs.
He informed the PM about the reservations of tribal jirga about sufferings of Internally Displaced People (IDP) and asked for resolving the issue at earliest. He stressed that the IDPs be allowed to return to the areas that have been cleared of militants.
Fazl also expressed concern over lack of progress in the investigation about attack on him in Quetta. Nawaz Sharif assured the JUI-F chief of looking into demands of his party and using all resources for rehabilitation of IDPs. INP
